Practice Areas

DUI:

DUI is a serious criminal charge, and I recommend that no one represent themselves in such a matter. Often, the DUI defendant need never appear in court if represented by an experienced Criminal Attorney; this includes out of State and International drivers. Should you decide against retaining our services for your drunk driving matter, I still strongly suggest you seek legal counsel experienced in criminal defense for advice.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE

Criminal defendants faced with the possibility of going to jail or prison should always hire an attorney, whether their case is a first offense DUI, domestic violence, drugs or drug related, theft, assault or as serious as a sex crime or even murder.

The truth is, no matter what the person's intelligence or educational background, the criminal justice system makes it virtually impossible to do a competent job of self representation. Each criminal case is unique, and only an attorney who is experienced in assessing the particulars of a case--and in dealing with the many variables present in every criminal case--can provide the type of representation that every criminal defendant needs to receive if justice is to be done.

DMV

The Department of Motor Vehicles regulates licensing and takes administrative and disciplinary action which is separate and apart from a criminal proceeding involving driving under the influence of alcohol. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) proceeding is quite different than the courtroom proceeding in a criminal matter. The hearings are more informal, and are run by a Driver Safety Office (DSO) Hearing Officer, who is an employee of the Department of Motor Vehicles and is not even trained as a lawyer.

I practice in all areas relating to the California DMV including "zero tolerance" hearings, excess "points", and health related issues.
